A Case of Tuberous Sclerosis

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of tuberous sclerosis, 7-year-old Korean girl, was observed. She had a symptom triad composed of adenoma sebaceum, epileptic seizures and mental retardation with additional shagreen patches and white macules on the trunk.
E.E.G. revealed seizure disorders.
P.E.G. showed irregular filling defect and dilatation of the lateral ventricle with slight brain atrophy on the left side.
Histopathological findings of adenoma sebaceumn was compatible with angiofibromatous pattern and in shagreen patch thickening of the dermis due to proliferation of collagen bundles was observed.
